caterpillarI want to turn into a butterfly  And be beautiful within.  I want to change into something  That’s always going to be thin.  I wish I were like them  With their lithe bodies and cut hair,  Their beauty so obvious, it shines unaware.  I want to flap my wings and fly  Fly away into someone else  Another time  Another day.  And yet I stay the same  As the caterpillar in my eyes  
The fat rounded body  Even the mockery of the flies.  My laughter is so raucous not that light glittery giggle  My mouth still so wonky, my body still a wiggle.  My career insists on si caterpillar
